What you need to rent
If you live in the UAE: your Emirates ID and a UAE driving licence you have held for at least a year.
If you are visiting: your passport with the entry stamp or visa, your home country's driving licence, and an international driving permit. A number of nationalities are exempt from the permit — send us a photo of your licence and we will tell you before you arrive rather than at hand-over.
A credit card in the name of the person driving, for the security deposit.
Drivers must be 21 or over for our standard cars, and 25 or over for the luxury cars and supercars.
The deposit
We hold an amount on your credit card for the length of the rental. It is a hold, not a charge — nothing leaves your account unless there is damage, a fine or a toll to settle.
The amount depends on the car and we tell you before you book. It is released after the car comes back, normally within 14 to 30 days, because traffic fines in Dubai can take that long to be issued.
Delivery and collection
Delivery anywhere in Dubai is included in the rate — your hotel, a villa, an office, or either airport.
At hand-over we walk around the car with you, note any existing marks together, record the fuel level and show you the controls. It takes about ten minutes. Collection works the same way.
Deliveries to the other emirates are available for a fee based on distance, quoted with your rate.
Mileage, fuel and tolls
250 km per day is included, pooled across the rental — so a three-day booking gives you 750 km to use as you like. That covers Dubai comfortably and a run to Abu Dhabi.
Additional kilometres are charged at a rate we confirm per car. If you are planning a long trip, say so and we will quote a bigger allowance instead of letting you run over.
Fuel is same-to-same. Salik tolls and any fines are charged at cost with an administration fee, and we send you the record of each one.
Insurance
Every car is comprehensively insured, with an excess that varies by car. We tell you the exact figure before you book.
If anything happens, call us first and get a police report — in the UAE an insurer will not settle a claim without one. The cover then applies and you are liable only up to the excess.
Cover is void if the car is driven off-road, raced, driven under the influence, driven by someone not named on the agreement, or taken out of the UAE without written permission.
